Just a short note to remind everyone that the Apple Valley City Council meeting to discuss the disc golf course at Alimagnet Park is this Thursday night, October 12 at 8PM. The council meetings are held at the Apple Valley Municipal Center located at 7100 West 147th St. - Apple Valley.

We need to remember to stay positive! If you can't attend the meeting, write an email to the council. We won the first Park Board meeting, so this should also go in our favor. Lets show the council some good support by showing up at the meeting to share our positive viewpoints. Disc Golf is a great recreation at Alimagnet Park and we'll want to see that the course remains intact for many years to come.

After the meeting on Thursday, if the city council approves the park boards recomendation, it would be nice to see some of us write letters to the editor and direct them to the APPLE VALLEY SUN NEWSPAPER in care of Erica Christoffer echristoffer@acnpapers.com and THISWEEK NEWSPAPERS in care of Erin Johnson eagan.thisweek@ecm-inc.com. Give thanks to the Apple Valley Park Board, Apple Valley City Council (Mayor Mary Hamann-Roland, Councilmembers John Bergman and Bob Erickson and especially Park Director Randy Johnson. They were all very helpful in making sure the course remained a recreation at Alimagnet Park. Let's show our appreciation and show them that we all care! The more letters the better. I'm hoping at least one persons comments will get printed. This situation was definitely a long and grueling process. I for one, faught as hard as I possibly could to make sure the course was not pulled. We need to show some appreciation, so if you can, take the time to write a short note of thanks, it would be greatly appreciated.
