we've actually been there a couple times already. we even helped bill ashton clear some of the brush along the fairways one night. it's actually the other way around with the first 7 being more open and the final 5 in the woods. it's a nice little course that will get better as time goes by.

we will likely wait until next spring to put this course on the site. bill has some slight changes in mind and we want it to be in its final state.

Yes, the holes in the woods have been an ongoing trimming and pruning process all summer long. I've actually logged over 80 hours to date. I've made the tee change on hole # 11. The hole now plays straight down the hill towards the basket. It is no longer a blind dogleg. It's a big improvement with the design of the hole and there's going to be less chance of loosing a disc on that hole. You can see where your disc fades in the ruff on both sides of the fairway now. Also with this change, players will be able to see people coming up the hill or x-country skiing in the winter.

we were out a couple weeks ago and played the relocated # 11. bill did a lot of work clearing for that fairway; there was a lot of thick brush to get rid of. he did an excellent job.
the hole plays easier now. if you can keep it straight you'll be golden. the view of the lake is sweet, too.

Just to let everyone know, The Apple Valley park department has decided to pull holes #4 & #5 for winter, due to the sliding hill. So for the winter months, those two holes will not be played. On a brighter note, plans are being considered to add cement tee pads next summer.

Suzette Simons who was a past MFA President and now working for Innova Champion Discs has offered me a small box of discs to help
attract women players to league play. This Monday will be the Apple
Valley leagues fourth week of play. It will continue on for another
12 weeks running through the end of August.

So if there are any women players interested in participating stop out
to receive a free disc just for coming to play.

Thanks Suzette and Innova Champion Discs for contributing to the Apple
Valley League!

Is this league still running? What is the last day for this league? I see it goes until the end of August. Maybe I could make it to the last few weeks.
